Individual Therapy

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time. But therapy is a lot like having a deep conversation with a good friend—it’s comfortable and supportive. The difference? A therapist is trained to help you understand your emotions, recognize patterns, and discover new, effective ways to navigate life’s challenges.

In therapy, it’s all about you—your goals, your growth, and what you want to work on. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can open up, feel understood, and make meaningful progress. Together, we’ll take things one step at a time to help you build skills, grow, and move toward the life and relationships you want.

I approach therapy with optimism and belief in change. While growth can feel uncomfortable at times, I’ve seen firsthand how stepping outside your comfort zone leads to real transformation. Therapy is your space to feel supported, explore, and embrace change at your own pace.

My specialties:

Relationships

As a Marriage & Family Therapist, I help you improve your relationships while strengthening your sense of self. Together, we’ll explore how your past and present relationships affect your well-being, helping you understand patterns and develop healthier dynamics. I’ll guide you in setting boundaries, improving communication, and building the tools you need to create stronger, more fulfilling connections with the people in your life.

Anxiety

Does anxiety keep you from living fully? It can cause constant worry, difficulty focusing, perfectionism, or even panic attacks. Social anxiety might also be holding you back from building meaningful relationships. You don’t have to face this alone. Using approaches like CBT and IFS, I’ll help you understand and manage your anxiety, providing practical tools to regain control and reduce overwhelm. My goal is to support you in finding relief and confidence so you can navigate your life with greater peace and joy.

Others areas of expertise:

  • In therapy, I use the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach to help people overcome addiction by understanding and healing the different parts of themselves that are involved in their addictive behaviors. This method allows individuals to gain insight into their feelings and thoughts, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.

  • Dealing with anger can be tough, and it's okay to need a little help managing it. In therapy, we'll work together to understand your anger, figure out what triggers it, and learn new ways to handle difficult situations. It's not about never getting angry; it's about handling your anger in a healthy way. You'll learn skills to stay calm, communicate better, and make choices that leave you feeling good about yourself.

  • Struggles with attachment can lead to feelings of insecurity, difficulty trusting others, and challenges in forming close connections. These issues might stem from past experiences or early relationships that still impact you today. I use approaches like attachment theory and relational therapy to help you understand and heal these patterns. Together, we'll work on building healthier, more fulfilling relationships in your life.

  • If you’re struggling with codependency, you may be feeling unhappy and stuck because of how much you rely on others for your self-worth, often putting their needs before your own. Therapy can help by teaching you how to value yourself more and build healthier relationships that make you feel strong and independent.

  • Depression can make every day feel like a struggle. It can cause lasting lasting feelings of hopelessness, sadness, or grief. You might feel numb to life, with activities that once brought joy now feeling empty. You don't have to go through this alone. I use DBT, CBT, and IFS to help you recover and start feeling better.

  • Grief is a deeply personal journey, and there’s no “right” way to experience it. I offer a compassionate space to navigate the pain of loss, process your emotions, and find ways to honor what you’ve lost while moving forward with hope. Together, we’ll work toward healing at your own pace.

  • Going through big changes in life can make us feel lost, worried, or alone. In therapy, I provide a safe space for you to talk about your feelings and find ways to adjust to these new parts of your life. Together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, discover what's most important to you, and build strategies to make these changes easier to handle.

  • Parenting is one of the most rewarding yet challenging jobs. Whether you’re dealing with behavior issues, setting boundaries, or managing stress, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll work on ways to strengthen your bond with your child, improve communication, and help them and yourself thrive.

  • In therapy, we'll work together to help you see just how great you are. We'll explore your thoughts and feelings, and I'll teach you ways to be kinder to yourself so you can start to feel better and more confident. Therapy is a safe place where we can talk about anything that's bothering you, and I'll be here to support you every step of the way.

  • Teens and adolescents today face more mental health challenges than previous generations, partly due to changes in society and technology. I'm here to help teens learn the skills they need to thrive. I use evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, and IFS to help your teen develop self-compassion and resilience.

  • Trauma can leave lasting effects on your mind and body, but healing is possible. I provide a safe, compassionate space where you can process your experiences at your own pace. Using approaches like IFS and grounding techniques, I help clients rebuild a sense of safety and find healing.

  • I specialize in helping women navigate a wide range of unique challenges. I support women through various issues, such as adjusting to motherhood, managing the mental load, coping with postpartum depression, dealing with infertility, deciding whether to have children, dating, and more.
